The design and project management of a public boat launching facility, a land backed surface wharf, forty boat pens, land development lots and parking. In particular Seashore Engineering provided technical advice and regular site inspections and quality control during the construction phase of the quarrying and breakwater project for the Augusta Boat Harbour.
Seashore Engineering provided timely solutions for the Department of Transport with a number of challenges on this project. Estimation of quantities of available quarry rock based on geotechnical and topographical information, as well as tracking quality and quantity of the quarrying and breakwater construction progress required accurate and practical engineering solutions. Developing methodology for the construction of the parapet on the southern breakwater with limited manoeuvrability for machinery presented unique challenges to the project design and construction management phases.
